EnOcean Alliance partners with iaconnects, which creates, delivers and commissions non-manufacturer specific building control systems and solutions for the IoT (Internet of Things)
VIDEO FEATURE
IAconnects Technology Limited (iaconnects or IA) is a long-term partner of the EnOcean Alliance and has been developing, designing and implementing smart building solutions based around EnOcean energy harvesting solutions since the early 2000’s. IA realises business benefits for industry by creating, delivering and commissioning non-manufacturer specific building control systems and solutions for the IoT (Internet of Things) arena.
While implementing building automations systems around the world, the company is based in the UK. Incisor.TV met IA chairman Stephen Hayes at the company’s offices in Henley on Thames.
In this video Hayes talks us through IA’s thinking behind the use of EnOcean energy harvesting wireless solutions. He explains that working with EnOcean sensors often avoids the need to work with an electrician, which makes the commissioning and deployment of systems simpler, quicker and more cost-effective.
The other advantage is re-deployment – if you want to move an EnOcean switch due to a change of office layout, you just take it off the wall and move it to a new location – no rewiring or digging channels in walls.
Hayes also talked us through IA’s relationship with Beckhoff, which implements open automation systems based on PC Control technology. Beckhoff’s product range covers Industrial PCs, I/O and Fieldbus Components, Drive Technology and automation software. Products that can be used as separate components or integrated into a complete and seamless control system are available for all industries.
