In this latest movie in Incisor.TV’s online interview series, Vince Holton talks to Graham Martin, who is chairman and CEO of the EnOcean Alliance. The Alliance is the standards organisation for EnOcean, the ecosystem of wireless, energy harvesting and interoperable self-powered wireless sensor solutions developed for smart building monitoring and control, smart home and smart spaces.
Lately, EnOcean has been highlighted in a study from a professor of building automation at one of Germany’s top universities and has been singled out as one of the most suitable technologies for building automation. In this study, EnOcean was considered alongside such technologies as Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, Zigbee, Sigfox, LoRa, NB-IOT and others. Incisor.TV asked Graham Martin to ellaborate on the findings of this independent study, and to provide some insight into how EnOCean outshines these other high-profile wireless standards in the building automation sector.
