First in new illumino range of smart switches and dimmers
It was near-on a decade ago that Aeotec released its first in-wall switches. Building upon that engineering know-how and experience, the Z-Wave specialist has released the first successor to its Micro and Nano range of wall-switch adaptors, illumino Switch.
Crafted as an all-in-one switch and to North American standards, Aeotec says that illumino Switch has been engineered to meet modern consumer demands by infusing intelligent automation and control alongside a wall switch’s standard form factor and functionality.
Able to automate up to 500 watts of lighting, this new Aeotec dimmer is compatible with single pole and 3 / 4 way switches. In larger installations, illumino Dimmer Switch offers 5-way-plus control through its use of Z-Wave Plus V2 and Aeotec’s Gen7 technology stack.
Aeotec told Incisor.TV that the illumino Switch provides the power to manually control, and intelligently automate and schedule your lighting, making a switch a smart switch. It enhances individual lights or associated electronics with everything from automatic timers to responsive automation, doing this through its use of Aeotec’s Gen7 technology and compatibility with Z-Wave gateways, including Aeotec Smart Home Hub and SmartThings.
Compatible with a broad range of automation software, including Aeotec Smart Home Hub and SmartThings, illumino Dimmer Switch is distributed through North America by Aeotec Americas and is also available on Amazon.com and SmartMatters.co.
